Listen up New York foodies, this event is for you! If you think the Long Beach International Film Festival (LBIFF) is all films and no food, you’d be wrong.

About LBIFF

The LBIFF premiered in 2012 with 50 submissions. Since its inception, the film festival has become a huge entertainment hub on the shore of Long Beach. The event provides a long weekend of great food, fantastic films and panel discussions with members of the entertainment industry. It’s a perfect clash of food, film and culture where there is truly something for everyone.

Tasting Events

The film festival has a few moving parts that are sure to fit your schedule and preferences. On Friday, August 3, foodies and move buffs will have the opportunity to gather together for the “Taste on the Beach” event.

Set up at the iconic, ocean-front Allegria Hotel, LBIFF’s “Taste on the Beach” will feature food tastings from more than 50 of Long Island’s renowned restaurants, distilleries, wineries and breweries. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. where live musical performances will shape the evening. After the tasting, guests can enjoy free movie screenings on the beach.

The festival is also partnering with Devour! for a second year in a row to bring festival goers “Chef and Shorts.” This is a five-course, locally-sourced dinner and wine pairing experience prepared by highly esteemed chefs. Guests will be able to enjoy dinner based on short films shown at the festival. The lineup of chefs include John Maffei, the executive chef at the Allgeria Hotel, Jansen Chan, Director of Pastry Operations at International Culinary Center and Michael Howell, founder of Devour!
