Attention all bacon lovers: Dad’s Garage is bringing bacon back to Atlanta for their 18th annual BaconFest. Atlanta’s favorite celebration of Bacon returns on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the Old Fourth Ward from 1-6 p.m.

About Dad’s Garage

Founded in 1995, Dad’s Garage Theatre Company has grown from a small volunteer led organization to a thriving mid-size theatre. The company is led by professional and administrative staff and has more than 300 volunteers and performers. Dad’s Garage entertains 33,000 people each year in Atlanta, at public events across the state and at improv festivals across North America. In addition to outrageous original productions, Dad’s Garage produces improv shows year-round, educates young improvisers in its high school outreach program and facilitates classes and workshops for the general public. Their mission is simple: to transform people, communities and perspectives through laughter.

Since 2000, Dad’s Garage Theatre Company has hosted this festival as an annual fundraiser for its improv and comedy shows. All proceeds will benefit the company, which cultivates and inspires artists and audiences alike by producing innovative, scripted and improvised works that are recognized across the globe.

BaconFest ATL

In previous years, the festival has included plenty of bacon (of course), beer, burlesque and other attractions to keep you entertained all afternoon! This year, attendees can expect a literal ton of bacon (that’s two-thousand pounds!), carnival games and a silent auction with prizes you will definitely want to bid on.

There will only be one ticket level this year. Meaning, everyone will be able to eat and drink as much as they want! The festival has a strict “No Foodies, Just Gluttons” policy. So, come prepared to eat until your heart (and stomach) is content. There will also be tons of boozy drinks for those of you looking to get your drink on as well.

Founded in 1992, this festival has become a fixture in the Atlanta community by combining lots of cold beer and sizzlin’ bacon with hilarious carnival games manned by the best improvisers in the city. Expect unforgettable entertainment like a hobo wine tasting, naughty face painting, flip cup tournament, wheelchair obstacle course, and more.

Things to Know

If this will be your first time at the festival, there are a few things you should know: All attendees must be at least 21 to attend this event, both Dad’s Garage and the festival are wheelchair accessible and parking will not be available. Taking a Lyft, Marta or some other form of transportation is strongly encouraged.

This event sells out every year, so be sure to buy your tickets early so you don’t miss out! Tickets start at $45, but if you use “baconb4love18” at checkout, you’ll receive $5 off.
