Happy MLK Day!

I’ve been away on a Royal Caribbean Cruise for vacation and I’ve used the rest of my free time during my return eating my heart out… what’s new?

For me, there are few greater feelings like landing in a city or place you aren’t familiar with and trying new things. So for my birthday,  I booked a cruise to the Bahamas, making a short stop in Miami. All Inclusive meals? Sounds like my kind of trip. Every morning for breakfast, we headed to the buffet where I would get two to three plates full of food.

All day long they hosted bars by the pool and drinks on drinks were served. The best part of it all was that at 9pm every night, we got all dressed up for dinner where we were served by a woman who had to be the best waitress on the Royal Caribbean Cruise ship. There’s nothing like a pleasant service and menu options that changed every night!

When I was in the Bahamas, I was extremely anxious to try the local food and I was granted the opportunity to try Conch (pronounced Konk) Fritters for the first time. They were so delicious, I wish I could had more days to spend there eating.

On our last night, which was my birthday, I had to have the Surf and Turf which was a little extra and completely worth it. We were all beyond full but aside from the sight seeing, excursions, pool fun, and the awesome moments never to be forgotten, the food was more than I could have hoped for.
