Making healthy decisions all the time can be really difficult. Especially when you’re following a diet that feels forced and honestly, unrealistic. We created the 21 Day Vegan Challenge to mitigate those concerns. Not only is this not like any other challenge you’ve done, but it’ll actually change how you look at food and inspire your future decisions while dining. The challenge starts on Monday, April 16th, 2018.
A lot of the time, we take on challenges that expect us to do a complete 180 without highlighting some of the personal struggles we may face a long the way. We may learn that we need some help staying disciplined, but may also lack the access, knowledge and resources to keep true to the challenge ahead of us. Last month, we sat down with Aaron, who shared his 30 day Vegan journey with us and how without guidance, he’s still keeping up with his new diet. It’s hard not to be impressed by Aaron’s commitment so we’ve brought him on board to keep you inspired for the gradual process that is our 21 day Vegan Challenge.
This challenge hosted by REAL people, who face REAL challenges you can relate to. Each host genuinely cares about making healthier choices to lead a bountiful lifestyle. You’ll be starting the week off with the Vegan Diva, Malandra Hastick. Malandra is a full-time vegan. She has her own show, “Cooking with Mala” in the works, where she highlights how she “veganizes” her favorites. Week two will be spent with Aaron, as he brings us through his journey live and direct. He’ll be working a lot of us through the struggles of making healthier decisions, while life offers numerous distractions. We’ll be ending the challenge off with Yenory Garcia-Pouncil of IAmHealthyFit. Nory will be piecing together how you can use foods of the diaspora, without having to give them up completely. Ultimately, we want to highlight foods from the African diaspora that so many of us grew up on.
It is possible to still feel at home and healthy in your kitchen. We will make sure you have the right tools to do so. Follow us on Instagram to watch our IG stories daily for the challenge of the day. Want more? Each host will be sending three weekly emails with extra tips you can sign up for here.

I’ve been thinking about going back to more plant based eating and abstaining from meat. I am intrigued to join and see how I feel after.
